Training

Barr-Thorp Electric is a Modicon Certified Training Facility with a staff of certified factory trained engineers. Certified training classes are available throughout the year on-site at Barr-Thorp Electric, which eliminates the need for valuable hours spent on travel and the additional travel expenses.

On-site training courses can be tailored to fit your specific needs, whether they be software, hardware, or application training. Certain courses can be combined or customized which allows the customer the ability to specify the application, type, and breadth of training for your company and employees. Typical class sizes are 6-12 students.

Courses are taught by Factory Certified Application Engineers that have received a wide variety of certifications including Microsoft and Schneider Electric’s Transparent Factory Engineer certifications. Course Instructors are continuously trained on automation platforms and industry automation trends, as well as Internet technologies that have become a standard for automation controls systems.
